1. In January 2023, preclinical studies of Healectrics™ devices were conducted on the effect of low-frequency high-voltage electrotherapy on glucose levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus using an in vivo model.
After 13 days of electrotherapy, there was a slight decrease in the absolute glucose level (~10%), and the increase in glucose concentration during GTT also significantly decreased (by ~40%-80%). This effect persisted one week after the end of electrotherapy.
It was found that electrotherapy with the Healectrics device did not have a negative effect on the hematological parameters of both intact animals and animals with a model of diabetes mellitus.

2. Preclinical studies of Healectrics™ devices on the effect of low-frequency high-voltage electrotherapy on the infectious activity of some human viruses in an in vitro model were carried out in November 2023.
The following viruses were used in the study- herpes simplex virus type 1;- human coronavirus OC43;- influenza virus A/Puerto Rico/8/34 (H1N1)Coronavirus and herpes virus accumulated in cells of the permissive Vero line (ATCC CCL-81). Influenza virus was accumulated in MDCK cells (ATCC CCL-34).
As follows from the presented results, the effect of an electric field on viruses reproducing in cells led to a decrease in viral activity. This was manifested to the greatest extent during sequential exposure at the stages of sorption and replication, and to a lesser extent - only at the sorption stage.
Of the HCoV viruses used, OC43 was the least sensitive to the effects of an electric field. The decrease in viral activity in group 3 was 0.7 orders of magnitude (i.e., 5 times). When using the influenza virus and HSV1, the infectivity of the viral progeny decreased in both cases by 1.0 lg TCID50/0.2 ml, i.e. 10 times (degree of inhibition 90%).
The human coronavirus OC43 was used in the present study. This virus belongs to the same phylogenetic group (family Coronaviridae) as the epidemically relevant coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, which caused the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019. Both viruses are large enveloped viruses, the genome of which is represented by a single-stranded (+)-RNA length of approximately. 30 kb. The high degree of similarity of these viruses, as well as the activity of the studied procedure against other enveloped viruses, which are phylogenetically distant from coronaviruses - influenza virus (family Orthomyxoviridae) and herpes virus (family Herpesviridae) suggests that the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus is also exhibits sensitivity to the effects of high-voltage, low-frequency electric fields. As can be seen from the results obtained, even the longest exposure to an electric field on a cell culture did not lead to a decrease in the viability of target cells.
